Bat Ami Helerman was born in Israel, initially gaining formal education in the fields of medicine and social work. In the late 70's she became an active artist working in various media. In the last decade she works primarily with stone, which she regards as a powerful and feminine material, able to deliver unique concepts and philosophical ideas. Art Education 1991 Established "Studio 7", together with 6 more artists. The studio is a home for creation, mutual criticism, ideas exchange, experimentation, research and creative thinking. It often invites other artists and curators  ( such as Sonia Natra, David Pe'er, Izak Golombak, Meir Aharonson and others) to give lectures and workshops. 1990-1999 Specialization in stone work, coached by sculptor Tanya Preminger. 1990-1997 Drawing and sketching workshop, by W.
